This valley lies between Parnidis and Gliders dunes. There a French camp of prisoners of war was establishes between 1870 and 1872. Many prisoners died as a result of poor prison conditions, exhaustion and disease. They were buried in the camp cemetery set up here, hence the name of the valley.
