In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, a number of prominent personalities came to Palanga, including Sofia and M. Konstantinas Čiurlionis, who were staying in a wooden house on a remote resort street at the beginning of their acquaintance. The double-edged building of traditional architectural expression is rectangular, one floor with mezzanine, the main facade is oriented to L. Vaineikio str.
For the first time in 1899 M. Čiurlionis visited Palanga only after completing his studies in Warsaw with his patron M. Oginskis. In the summer of 1908 the composer returned to the resort with his fiancée Sofia Kymantaite.
One of the most important resort objects for Čiurlionis was not only the summer house of S. Kymantaitė, but also the Palanga bridge, which they used to walk to and go on dates.
